Y6 Residential Mon (PM)

25th June 2018
What a busy day! We were slightly delayed setting off from school as the coach was held up in roadworks. But we made good time getting to our scheduled stop at the services and after a visit to the loo and a quick snack we were soon back on board the coach and on our way again.

We arrived at the youth hostel on time and after unloading the coach we got on with our activities. For Horowitz class this was shelter building and fire lighting, for Pullman class it was orienteering and archery.

After both classes had thoroughly enjoyed themselves we were back in the youth hostel getting our bags into our rooms. Soon after that it was time for dinner, something that seemed to go down very well with everyone!

Evening activities were a campfire and some work for the children in their residential workbooks. As I type this they are all getting ready for bed. Note I said "bed" and not "sleep"!

(Unfortunately we are having a lot of issues with internet connectivity at the hostel today, hopefully we will have better luck tomorrow and will be able to add more images, we are very conscious that you are all keen to see how much fun your children are having!)

Here are a few more images from the day...
